Upcoming UPSC Exams 2018

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is a central recruiting agency responsible for appointing personnel for various services of the union.  Preparing for the prestigious Indian Civil Services examination is a demanding, yet deeply enriching experience. It is an examination that aims to choose the best talent for a career in public service.

Since time is of the essence when it comes to preparing well for Government exams, it is important to be well aware of the dates, duration of the examination, and tentative notification release dates. Here we present a brief list of upcoming examinations conducted by the UPSC.

1.	Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2018	07.01.2018 (SUNDAY)	Candidates who clear the Indian Engineering Services Examination are then eligible for employment in the different departments which are under the Government of India related to engineering.
2.	Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2018	03.06.2018 (SUNDAY)	This examination is conducted for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), etc.
3.	N.D.A. & N.A. Examination (I), 2018	22.04.2018 (SUNDAY)	This exam is conducted twice every year to admit young cadets in National Defence and Naval Academy.
4.	C.D.S. Examination (I), 2018	04.02.2018 (SUNDAY)	The CDS recruits defence officers for all three forces i.e. the Army, Navy and Air Force.

Specifically, the Civil Services Examination (CSE) conducted by the UPSC, includes three testing phases, namely, 1) the Preliminary test, 2) the Mains test and the 3) Interview or Personality test. Candidates will have to clear every section in order to proceed to the next phase. Preparation has to be done for each stage, keeping in mind certain specific requirements. Further, candidates would need to keep time aside for solving mock papers as well.
