South Western Railway recruitment 2017 Advertisement 09 Group C, Erstwhile Group D
South Western Railway released new notification on their official website swr.indianrailways.gov.in for the recruitment of total 09 (nine) jobs out of which 02 (two) vacancies for Group C, 07 (seven) for Erstwhile Group D vacancies. Job seekers should apply from on or before 06th March 2017.

South Western Railway Jobs 2017 Detail
Group C: 02 Posts
- Qualification:- Candidates who wanted to participate for South Western Railway Group C job should have 10+2th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. Must be from recognized institute or Matriculation Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship / ITI approved by NCVT / SCVT.
- Salary Structure:- Rs. 5200 – 20200/- Grade pay – 1900/- Per Month
Erstwhile Group D: 07 Posts
- Qualification:-Aspirants who decided to join South Western Railway Erstwhile Group D posts should have possess the qualification of 10th pass or ITI or equivalent. Appearing or awaiting results of the final examinations of 10th or ITI or equivalent on the date of application are not eligible to apply. Educational qualification must be from recognized institutions.
- Salary breakup:- Rs. 5200 – 20200/- Grade pay. 1800/- Per Month
Age Limit:- Calculate the Lower and Upper age limit as on 1st January 2017.
- Group C: 18 to 29 years and upper age is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC
- Erstwhile Group D: 18 to 32 years and upper age is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC
Selection Process:- South Western Railway admit card 2017 will be issued to conduct the Written Examination for Group C, Erstwhile Group D vacancies, and after exams candidates will be invited for Scouting Skill Assessment and Marks on certificates.
Fee charges:- Aspirants who wanted to participate for Group C, Erstwhile Group D vacancies should pay the below charges through crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) only, from any Post office drawn in favour of Asst. Personnel Officer/HQ, South Western Railway, Hubli, payable at Hubli.
- SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen/Women: Rs.250/- (Rupee two hundred and fifty only)
- Others: Rs.500/- (Rupee five hundred only)
